The team left the Island this afternoon arriving in Liverpool at 17.30 after a fair crossing. During the journey they collected money for the Children's Centre and were amazed by the generosity of the passengers - a great boost to the fundraising carried out so far. Got lost trying to find the minibus on the car deck - this doesn't bode well.
They are now in the middle of their 6/7 hour trip to Hayle ready for a few hours sleep before starting their mammoth challenge.
The route for tomorrow has now been changed to take a more direct route. Although this means more time on the notorious A30 it will be about 5 hours less in the saddle and 2000 less feet to climb. It'll still be a ride of 101 miles nonetheless.
Don't forget, if you haven't had chance to sponsor the team and would like to then go to www.thechildrenscentre.org.im and click on the donate button quoting LEJOG.
